Media Release: AVPartners promotes Mat Brooke as Technical Director at Crown Perth

Leading audiovisual company AVPartners has once again demonstrated their commitment to promoting from within by appointing Mat Brooke as Technical Director at Crown Perth.
Previously a Senior Technician at the popular Perth venue, the promotion will see Mat continue to use his technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to create event concepts which exceed client expectations.
Mat commenced his career with AVPartners as a Trainee Technician in April 2012, and in six short years has progressed to a leadership position.
Regarding his promotion, Mat said, “I had no idea six years ago that I would have been able to progress so much within one company. AVPartners is a supportive network of passionate audiovisual people, and I’m ecstatic to be able to continue to grow and advance with them.”

Media Release: AVPartners promotes Ben Davis to Technical Event Manager at Crown Perth

Leading audiovisual service provider AVPartners has appointed Ben Davis to a sales role at Crown Perth.

With over 12 years experience in the industry, Ben brings his unique skill set and passion for events into his new role.

Ben previously worked as a Technical Director at the venue. Ben has extensive experience in the day to day running of audio, visual and lighting, along with coordinating staff, event set up and pack down, and liaising with clients.

His new role will see Ben nurture and build on client relationships while creating event concepts to suit their AV needs.

Commenting on his new role, Ben said, “I’m excited to work with our loyal clients on creative and innovative events in this new capacity. Of course, I’m also eager to welcome new clients to our venue where I know we will exceed their expectations.”

Media release: AVPartners appoints Daniel Naidoo as Operations Manager at Crown Perth

AVPartners has appointed Daniel Naidoo as Operations Manager at Crown Perth.

The role will see Mr Naidoo manage a team of operational staff and crew at the MICE destination to ensure seamless and successful events.

Mr Naidoo will be responsible for driving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability in the operations department.

Mr Naidoo has nearly ten years’ experience in operations as a supervisor at BHP Billiton and Ecowise Environmental. Prior to this Mr Naidoo was an audiovisual Technical Director at Hyatt and the Burswood Entertainment Complex.

Commenting on the role, Mr Naidoo said, “The AVPartners team at Crown Perth has some of the best and brightest AV talent. I’m thrilled to be working with such a great team at an exceptional venue.”

Media release: AVPartners promotes Ben Davis to Technical Director at Crown Perth

Leading audiovisual service provider AVPartners has promoted Ben Davis to Technical Director at Crown Perth. He joins a highly skilled team, alongside fellow Technical Director Joe Reichle at the premium MICE destination.

The role will see Mr Davis and Mr Reichle jointly provide technical production for conferences and events at Crown Perth.

Mr Davis commenced his career in the audiovisual industry ten years ago. Commencing as an audiovisual technician with AVPartners at Crown Perth, he quickly progressed through the ranks.

The promotion follows Mr Davis being voted AV Technician of the Year in 2014 by his peers.

Commenting on the role, Mr Davis said, “I love having the opportunity to stage some of Australia’s best events at Crown Perth. Each day is challenging and exciting.”

Matt Taylor Staff Profile

We are excited to introduce Matt Taylor; the newest Partner in the AVPartners family. Matt was appointed as partner at Crown Perth following AVPartners being awarded the audio visual contract at the complex in June 2014.

Matt brings to this exciting challenge a wealth of experience, knowledge and dedication. His most recent position as Business Development Manager for AVPartners Perth has provided the ideal background to move forward in this new role.

Growing up in Kingsley (Perth’s northern suburbs), Matt followed his dream and upon finishing school he completed an Advanced Certificate of Broadcast Operations and Certificate IV of Music Industry Skills. He acquired valuable camera, lighting, audio and vision operation techniques during this time.

Matt’s first role in the audio visual industry was that of Technician back in 1999 when 35mm slide projectors, VHS tapes and 3 gun projectors were still used! He quickly moved up the ranks to Senior Technician and then onto Venue Services Manager at the Parmelia Hilton and Burswood Entertainment Complex before commencing with AVPartners in 2008.

Matt loves working at AVPartners and is very passionate about the events industry. Just having the opportunity to work with dynamic and creative people each and every day gives him a buzz and nothing makes him happier than exceeding the client’s expectations.

It was extremely difficult for Matt to pinpoint his most memorable show but his greatest career achievement to date was the successful management of the Medical Meetings – Pfizer Pharmaceutical National Sales Conference. This event was held in 2010 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and Sheraton Perth Hotel. The pre-production phase alone consisted of several interstate meetings held over four months with the event attracting over 600 delegates. The execution of the event had him overseeing a team of two full time AVPartners Event Managers, Technical Director and 30 staff. The event was a resounding success and the beginning of a new relationship with Medical Meetings, establishing AVPartners as a market leader to the Australian audio visual industry.

Matt’s greatest personal achievement is his family. He loves spending quality time with his wife and 3 young children and their many friends. He still loves his music too and when he’s not at a concert or adding to his extensive CD collection he is either playing his acoustic guitar or electronic drums!
